So I'm proud to say that this term is over and I successfully made it out alive with my GPA intact. It's so weird to hear that because just a few short weeks ago I was trying to figure out how far failing would set me back. This term I learned a lot about myself...as organized as I think I am I found out that I'm really not. If I can stand to do anything other than veg out and enjoy life I'm going to try to come up with a better plan to get me through these next 8 months before clinicals, so I don't find myself back in this same situation. And let me tell ya, after having spent the last 12 weeks getting a dose of primary care classes I have such a new found respect for nurse practitioners. How they ever remember all that information I will never know. Believe it or not I'm looking forward to next term's classes. It will be nice to be back in my midwifery classes. I'm signed up for antepartum, postpartum and newborn care, and community assessment. This next term is also when I start getting my sites locked down for clinicals. I can't believe I'm almost there already. It seems so unreal-this first year is really flying by.
Anywho if you need me, I'll be the lazy slug on the couch, clearing out my DVR, catching up on these blockbuster movies I rented months ago collecting dust, reading something NOT related to nursing, and catching up on some sleep. To all my Frontier family-enjoy the break and use this time to recharge. And to all of you my sweet little blog readers, have a beautiful, blessed Christmas. I'll see ya in 2012!
