Happy New Year!!!

Ok first off I'm a little late with this post. I promised the kiddies on facebook a blog post about the whole nurse-in stuff that went down the other day at Target. So here goes...Kudos to you beautiful women educating the world. Breastfeeding is one of the best gifts we can give our children. Now I'm not knocking the women who either chose not to or wanted to breastfeed but couldn't for whatever reason. Breastfeeding did not come easy for me and frankly I was young and lazy. But when I did breastfeed my little man, I did so unashamed. I remember one time being in a Ross's and feeding him in one arm while trying to pick out new clothes with the other. I was reading some of the comments under one of our local news channels facebook postings and I was amazed at the level of ignorance that still exists. I expected the perverted men to come out and comment in droves but I was surprised at the amount of women calling breastfeeding "nasty porn". Really? You ogle male underwear models on billboards and you can tolerate the mostly naked Victoria Secret models but you can't take a woman feeding her child? Am I the only person who thinks there is something wrong with this? In my opinion, you people need to get the hell over it.
